FAQ's

A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions."

A: Very little!  Whether it's attending a membership meeting or helping with an event, you decide how much time you want to spend.  Who knows-you might have so much fun you'll want to do more!

A: As a PTA member you get to provide valuable input as to the type of activities the PTA provides for the school, as well as where the money raised during our fundraisers will be spent.

A: Good question! The majority of the money goes directly to the payment of our National PTA charter memberhip. Approximately 1/3  goes directly to support PTA school activities.

Q: How do PTA's help kids?
A: The National Parent Teachers Association's mission is to "Build a Better World for Children". The Olalla PTA helps achieve this by raising funds for school supplies, books for the library and new technology for students. The PTA puts on events that bring parents, teachers and students together.

A: Nope. Attending general meetings is not required. Everyone is invited, and encouraged to attend. If volunteering or making a donation is all you are able to do, the Olalla PTA welcomes your involvement.

Q: Can I attend a general membership meeting if I'm not a PTA member?
A:  Yes!  Everyone is welcome to attend the general membership meetings.

A: By law, businesses cannot be members of a PTA. However, companies can participate by donating money, goods or services to the PTA or one of the PTA events. Many of our community partners have found event participation to be a great way to reach and participate in growing our community.
